Overview
Michael J. Hennessy Associates (MJH), Inc., is a fully integrated healthcare communications company based in Cranbury, New Jersey. Through its extensive portfolio of products and services, education, and research, MJH dedicates itself to providing healthcare professionals with the information and resources they need. MJH combines the sizeable reach and influence of its video programs, digital and print product lines, live events, and market research with the customer service focus and customization capabilities of a boutique firm. Clients include world-leading pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and biotech companies.
Program
MJH Studios™ is a world-class production facility and resource center dedicated to the development and distribution of original content and is home to renowned proprietary video programs, such as Medical Crossfire®, Cure Connections®, Peer Exchange®, OncLive®TV, and many more. WSDG was retained to plan and design the studio and its support space and systems integration program.
Design
With ample floor space, liberal ceiling height, and generous column spacing, WSDG was presented with a blank canvas to create a user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing studio and to provide the MJH creative staff with a flexible production environment. The studio includes a 1600-sq.-ft. sound stage with a 40’ x 30’ cyclorama wall for virtual set design, an expansive ceiling lighting grid, a VO/ISO booth, and a drive-in bay for efficient load-ins. The postproduction wing houses spacious audio and video control rooms, an editing suite, a green room, hair and makeup stations, and a kitchen area. Professional audio/video acoustic construction and wall/floor/ceiling and door treatments were incorporated throughout the complex to maintain requisite quietude during productions. MJH CFO, Neil Glasser, remarked, “We’re exceptionally pleased with our new studio in terms of functionality and aesthetics.
