WSDG and the Media: A Brief History

In the summer 1968, John Storyk designed his first facility – a small club in SoHo, New York called the Cerebrum. Shortly after the club opened, it made the cover of Life Magazine. Jimi Hendrix, who would open Electric Lady Studios the following year, happened to be one of the club’s patrons and kind of liked the design – the rest, as they say, is history. Since 1969, WSDG and its clients have been featured on the covers of dozens of trade magazines over the years – this is an outstanding accomplishment in any industry. Below is an illustration of just some of the covers we are proud to have been associated with for current media coverage on WSDG.

Two of WSDG’s broadcast studios have been selected for Radio World’s “Spectacular Radio Studios 2023” eBOOK: WKNY Radio Kingston and Spotify At Mateo
The fall edition of Filter Magazine covers the story of Rue Boyer: the brand new Mix with the Masters recording facility in Paris.
