Project Description
Overview
Assembly is a concert venue and event space located in the historic Uptown/Stockade District of Kingston, NY. Built into the former location of St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Assembly is a joint venture between CB Developers and Impact Concerts, a Hudson Valley promotional company focused on bringing art and cultural events to the region.
Program
The WSDG Design team was tasked with developing a comprehensive plan of acoustic treatments for the interior of the venue that would optimize it as a performance and event space. This process included detailed acoustic measurement of the space and developing an appropriate treatment package that would create the desired acoustic effect while also matching the interior aesthetics of the space. Improvements to the existing windows were also designed to control noise transmission outdoors towards the surrounding neighbors.
Design
The 450 capacity venue is suitable for live musical performance, small theater productions, speaking engagements, DJ club nights, community gatherings, and private events. WSDG collaborated with A/V integrators DNL Laboratories to design and install a state-of-the-art d&B Audiotechnik Y-series line array with V-GSUBS, and stage monitoring consisting of d&B MAX2 wedges and a C7 drum sub. The entire system is operated by a pair of 48 input dLIve systems.
