Watchtower Media Center

Overview

Watchtower Media Center is an integrated working, living, and worship facility for the members of the Worldwide Order of the Special Full Time Servants of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The campus houses up to 1200 residents and the proposed 120,000 ft² Media Center will serve as a full-featured all-in-one media production studio for the order’s audio and video production needs.

Program

The WSDG team was design lead on the facility’s 12 recording studios which included architectural design, acoustic design, and systems integration. In addition to this, WSDG served as the acoustic consultants on Watchtower’s sound stages and co-design consultants on the master planning of the facility alongside the Watchtower’s in-house architects and design team.

Design

Watchtower is a ground-up build due to begin construction in late 2024. In addition to its 12 recording studios, it also includes 6 sound stages, a set-building workshop, multiple photography studios, support rooms for the stages, and a number of offices and production workshops. Watchtower is one of the largest and most ambitious WSDG projects to date.
