Rostock Central Station is the main railway station in the German city of Rostock. It was originally constructed in 1886 and was expanded multiple times over the course of the 20th Century. The station was reopened after its latest reconstruction in 2003.

Program

The WSDG Design Team was tasked with room and electroacoustics, as well as planning for the station’s voice alarm system.

Design

Solutions were proposed to meet the requirements that are placed on a voice alarm system according to DIN VDE 0833-4 as part of the overall consulting services. Both electroacoustic and room acoustic solutions were investigated as part of the planning.
