Jack Cunningham
Acoustic / AV Systems Engineer

Jack Cunningham is a multifaceted audio professional with a B.A. in Digital Media Studies with a concentration in Audio Engineering from the University of Rochester. Throughout his degree tenure, Jack utilized his understanding of design, audio systems, and music production to contribute to a diverse selection of projects — ranging from building a modular sound system to engineering/recording intimate living room concerts.
As an audio engineer and studio technician, Jack has an ear for sonic detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. His technical precision grew from his in-depth experience with testing, installing, and repairing sound equipment. Jack’s interest in optimizing sound for flexible performance settings led him to work with First Universalist Church in Rochester, NY, where he served as the technical bridge between vision and implementation of their streaming and live sound system integration. This experience balancing client priority and audio-visual integrity in multi-purpose acoustic spaces has served Jack well in his time with WSDG, starting from his internship with the team in the summer of 2024 until now.
When he isn’t working on materializations and sound system designs with WSDG or freelancing as a mastering engineer, he enjoys playing the bass and guitar, hiking, creating curated playlists for his friends, and making a good meal.
