About Violet Isle
Violet Isle is a high-end, destination recording studio that melds the sensibility of the artist-forward sanctuaries of old with the ergonomics and technological capabilities of modern, cutting-edge facilities. The brainchild of producer and studio owner Bill Jabr [Lion Share Recording Studios, Blue Room Studios] and the Blue Room Studios team – an elite collective that’s contributed to multiple Grammy Awards, Diamond-selling releases, and chart-topping hits [Andre 3000, Ari Lennox, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, JID, Summer Walker, Khalid, James Blake, Childish Gambino and so many more], – Violet Isle is a distillation of all the best aspects of classic and contemporary studio design within a single, luxury facility designed to cater to world-class talent.
The Story
The story of Violet Isle begins in 2022 when Jabr and his team were given the opportunity to purchase a dream property in downtown Atlanta. Between their highly successful operations at Blue Room and revitalizing the legendary Lion Share Recording Studios in LA, the group had already established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the recording industry. Sensing the opportunity to funnel his team’s experience into a singular space that would redefine recording studios in his home town, Jabr developed the concept that would become Violet Isle.
“
This was our chance to build from scratch in a premier location of Atlanta with one of the best teams assembled of all time. Chances like this aren’t realized often, so we decided to jump at the opportunity with everything we had. We pulled influence from all of our studios, knowledge, and past experiences to create a dream space that we feel pays homage to classic studios before us while also embracing the relevant and modern workflows of today.” – Bill Jabr
A fan of past WSDG studios such as Jungle City in New York, Jabr brought on WSDG as facility planners and studio designers for what would become Violet Isle.
The Studio

Violet Isle is a private, gated recording studio featuring sweeping views of the vibrant Atlanta skyline. The studio was designed with careful attention to ergonomics and work flow – keeping service, hospitality, and privacy at the forefront with multiple support spaces around one premier audio production suite.
Control Room
The 460 ft² Control Room features beautifully designed curved clouds and soffits conveying a sense of movement while also creating a controlled acoustic environment ideal for critical listening. The centerpiece of the studios’ recording and mixing operations is a vintage SSL 4056G console with main monitoring provided by a custom-set of handmade, Augspurger-style monitors.
Live Room
The 525 ft² Live Room is a versatile, full band-friendly performance space capable of hosting a wide variety of projects across all musical genres. The Live Room has been designed with purposeful sightlines through the Control Room to the 150 ft² Iso Booth as well as to the private lounge. In addition to housing the studios’ 2003 Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, the Live Room also offers artists access to a private balcony space via 18-foot sliding glass acoustic doors. A combination of solid and perforated wood treatments provide acoustic control at target frequencies while not compromising the room’s lively atmosphere or aesthetic.
