The WSDG Europe Team will be attending the bi-annual Show for Event Technology and Theatre, MEET at the Messe Wien in Vienna from November 6-7, 2024. In addition to presenting a lecture about room acoustics and immersive electroacoustics in theater construction, the team will be on hand to meet with clients, partners, and interested parties at our company booth F2, Hall D.

Vienna is known as the hub for music and theatre with a long history that dates back to artists like Mozart and Beethoven who performed here often. With Burgtheatre, founded 1748 and in its current building since 1888, Vienna also hosts the oldest theatre still in operation. MEET provides the latest information on event technology as well as on education and is an important discussion platform for all theatre and event managers.

Room acoustics and electroacoustics play a central role in modern theatre architecture. The lecture highlights the basic principles of room acoustics and their importance for the natural propagation of sound in the theatre. Noy will also demonstrate how electroacoustic systems and immersive audio technologies can be used specifically to create an intensive, expansive sound experience.
