Luis Hermida
Project Engineer, Acoustics
Luis Hermida holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Acoustic Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Spain. He is an engineer and researcher with a deep passion for acoustics. He also holds a degree in Sound Engineering from the Universidad de San Buenaventura in Colombia and a Master’s in Art from the Universidade de Brasilia in Brazil.
Luis has dedicated his career to studying and understanding sound through a multidisciplinary approach. His research and scientific publications aim to bridge the gaps between engineering, design, environmental psychology, architecture, semiotics, and acoustics.
His design objectives focus on tailoring acoustic environments to meet specific needs and enhancing people’s experiences through precise calculations and Sound Quality methodologies.
In addition to his engineering work, Luis is a musician, songwriter, and producer with a deep appreciation for roots music and Latin American folklore.
