Berklee College of Music – New Developments in Small Room Studio Design
Hosted By: John Storyk, Founding Partner, WSDG
Shames Family Scoring Stage, 160 Mass Ave, Boston, Massachusetts
In recent years, the recording studio as we know it has changed dramatically. They are now much smaller, often only one room (vs. typical two and more rooms), and are embracing an ever-changing demand for immersive production techniques. New tools for analysis and predictive design have been created to address these changes. In this session, John Storyk will lead a panel of designers, studio users and acousticians to discuss the issues, using current real world examples as well as trying to take a look at the “next gen” of design tools.
