As part of TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit, this panel will explore how audiovisual innovation is transforming modern stadiums into fully immersive environments. From dynamic LED displays to crystal-clear sound and interactive fan engagement platforms, today’s AV systems enhance atmosphere, elevate storytelling, and help create unforgettable live experiences.

The discussion will also address the practical considerations behind these technologies: What do next-generation AV systems cost to install, operate, and maintain? When should integrators be engaged in the project timeline? And how can venue owners future-proof investment decisions made years before opening? Drawing on the expertise of leading specialists, this session will provide valuable insights for architects, designers, operators, and technology teams shaping the future of live sports and entertainment venues.

INSIGHTS: The Ark Legacy Project – An Arena of Higher Purpose

Thursday, December 11, 2025

Emirates Old Trafford, West Stage

11:45am – 12:30pm

Gbenga Alalade (Project Director/Lead Architect, TALP), Ayodeji Ayandibu (MEP Consultant, TALP), Dirk Noy (General Manager Europe, WSDG)

Taking place on the final day of TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit, this session will delve into The Ark Legacy project in Lagos, Nigeria – a landmark development set to become the world’s largest church, designed to welcome more than 150,000 worshippers. Featuring a fully roofed 109,000-seat bowl, extensive auxiliary spaces, and one of the world’s largest 360-degree LED screens, the project represents an extraordinary convergence of architecture, engineering, and cutting-edge AV design.

Attendees will gain insight into the acoustic modeling, isolation strategies, and integrated AV/theater systems that underpin this monumental venue. Still rising “steel by steel, beam by beam,” the project highlights the collaborative effort between architecture, MEP engineering, construction, acoustics, and systems design. As it moves toward completion, The Ark Legacy Project stands not only as a house of worship, but as a landmark in large-scale venue design — where architecture frames community, acoustics shapes connection, and technology amplifies the shared human experience.
