Sam Fong moved to Hawaii from Hong Kong with his family in 1975. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Music Education. He began his career as a band director, freelance audio engineer, and sound system consultant in Hawaii. He was the director of audio recording and broadcast engineering between 1996 – 2012 for a large church organization in Oahu, Hawaii.

Sam is currently the studio director, lead audio engineer and education officer for Line Studio at WMS designed by WSDG in Honolulu, Hawaii.
