Overview
The Kharkov Philharmonic Organ Hall is a rebuilt historic building attached to the Kharkov House of the Philharmonic. The new organ hall was designed by architect Michael S. Rabinovitch with acoustic design and planning by WSDG.
Program
The WSDG design team was tasked with room acoustics conception, design, and consulting.
Design
Room acoustics planning and computer simulations were carried out for the reconstructed historical concert hall. The building with the organ hall and included administration and rehearsal rooms were completely rebuilt. Necessary stage lighting and media systems and new stalls were also installed. An organ with 70 stops, 4 manuals and 1 pedal was planned and installed by Alexander Schuke Orgelbau GmbH from Werder near Potsdam.
