It is becoming more and more difficult not to be concerned about Acoustics (both isolation and internal room behavior) and Systems Integration as an important quality in architecture and interior design. The obvious examples of concert halls, home theaters, media production rooms, etc. need no further discussion; yet virtually any room is a candidate for improved acoustic performance, not to mention the ever-increasing sophistication of noise abatement and noise control building and zoning code requirements. When should acoustic design be addressed in the design process? We would suggest as early as possible.
