Project Description

Overview

This project required the installation of a private home theater plus the development of the A/V systems throughout all areas of this high-end luxury residence.

Program

The home, which is 8,672 square feet, is located in Bal Harbour — a prestigious area of Miami, FL — and required a dedicated home theater as well as an A/V system that would serve as background entertainment through-out the home.

The project includes full automation control of audio, video and lighting systems; a media room, game room and master bedroom were the main focus of this design project.
In order to design the system and select all the technology, WSDG worked very closely with the architect T Design (a full service design studio specializing in high-end residential interiors), taking into account the fact that all the interior elements and furniture selected by the client were custom.

Design

The designated home theatre is located in the game room. Among the design considerations were rich woods and fabric elements, which were combined for optimum acoustics as well as for elegant aesthetics.  The lighting design was of high importance and incorporated into the fully controlled, dimmable touch panel systems.

A 55″ plasma screen was installed centered on the wooden wall, which provides the primary video display for the theater, along with a 5.1 audio surround system. The guest bedrooms, master bedroom, and family room, have also been provided with 40”, 55”, 44” LED screens, as well as surround audio system.
