Exclusive: WSDG and ADA-AMC merger will bring ‘innovations and advances’ say top execs

WSDG and ADA-AMC Merge Forces. Prof Dr Wolfgang Anhert, Architect/Acoustician John Storyk and Director of Applied Sciences Dirk NoyTop brass at acoustics specialists WSDG (Walters-Storyk Design Group) and ADA-AMC (Acoustic Design Ahnert – Acoustics & Media Consultants) have spoken exclusively to Pro Sound News Europe about their new merger, which the say will bring a wide range of benefits to customers and both companies.

The merger, which is aimed at combining the core skills of each business to offer a global acoustical design and consulting organisation, will see both companies remain in their existing offices, although general management duties will be shared between ADA-AMC founder Dr Wolfgang Ahnert and WSDG partner, director of applied science and engineering Dirk Noy.

Commenting on the new collaborative merger, Noy told PSNE: “[WSDG founder] John Storyk and I consider Dr. Ahnert one of the most accomplished experts on electro acoustics, technical acoustics and software development in our field. We are honored to be associated with ADA-AMC, and we look forward to collaborating with them. We anticipate our merger will greatly expand our ability to provide clients with outstanding  solutions to their acoustical design and installation projects, Our new relationship will also enable us to expand to new markets and hopefully produce meaningful innovations and advances in acoustic consulting and media technology engineering services.”

Ahnert also hailed the coming together of the two companies, stating: “We have followed WSDG’s impressive work on projects such as Jazz At Lincoln Center, Austria’s Vienna  Symphonic Library, the KKL Lucerne Concert Hal and such iconic recording studios as Electric Lady, Jungle City and Paul Epworth’s The Church Studios in London. There is a great synergy between our offices and I believe our collaboration will produce benefits to the art and the science of acoustics.”

In a statement issued by WSDG, the company said that the company will remain focused on its key markets: “The merger results in a powerful expert global player with a long-term vision to the future and will continue to focus on professional consultation and engineering activities in three primary market sectors: media content creation, production, distribution and broadcast facilities; corporate and governmental media installations, parliament halls and conference centres; and sports, arts and entertainment venues such as theatres and concert halls.”
