Robi Hersberger studied at the University of Basel and graduated with a B.Sc. in Physics in 2009. His first contact with audio was through guitars and rehearsal rooms. In his free time, he spent hours in rehearsal rooms and in front of his amplifiers, experimenting with methods for improving sound quality.
Following graduation, Robi worked on a variety of freelance audio event and performance projects. His interest and fascination for audio engineering and sound in general continued to grow. Considering his focus on the field of acoustics, his background in Physics and his passion for good audio, it was only a matter of time before he committed to a career in acoustics. He joined WSDG in Basel as an intern in 2010 and he now works as Project Engineer. His skills include acoustical measurements and predictions with simulations.
An active acoustic and electric guitar player in various projects, Robi also enjoys building and modifying his instruments. Every now and then in winter he relaxes by skiing in the Swiss Alps.
