Overview

Co-founded in 2006 by Diego Calviňo and Pablo Lopez Ruiz, 3:3:2 Studio is a world-class mixing, and mastering facility in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Designed by the Walters-Storyk Design Group, the studio is equipped to work in stereo and 5.1 Surround. 3:3:2 Studio is one of the few Latin American studios to offer DSD-DXD technology, and is also highly experienced in CD, iTunes, Vinyl, DVD-V, DVD-A, SACD, Blu-Ray, and theatrical soundtrack formats. 
The studio’s credits include Leo Sujatovich’s award winning score for the movie “La Antena”, Chucho Valdes, producer Sebastian Schon, producer Fab Dupont, producer Rafael Arcaute, Marc Anthony, David Bisbal, Luis Fonsi, Cristian Castro, Babasonicos, Tan Bionica, Abel Pintos, Los Nocheros, eLDee, Palito Ortega, Emanuel Ortega, producer Juan Blas Caballero, producer Chino Asencio, Nicolas Sorin, “Wakolda” directed by Lucia Puenzo, Strings section mixing of Fito Paez’s film “De quien es el Portaligas?”, Mariano Otero, Liliana Herrero, Sofia Rei, Jay Stolar, Wendy Parr, La Mosca featuring Don Omar, Jorge Lopez Ruiz’s “El Grito” 30th anniversary remastering, to name just a few.

Pablo Lopez Ruiz – Chief Recording, Mixing & Mastering Engineer and Co-founder of 3:3:2 Studio

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 19, 1959. Graduated in Traditional Composing at Berklee College of Music in Boston (1984). Took private lessons with Tomas McGah, won the Richard Levy composition award (Boston, 1982). Built a reputation in the field of arranging, recording, mixing and mastering, working with recognized figures such as Chucho Valdés, Luciano Pereyra, Julieta Venegas, Emanuel Ortega, Cachorro López, Las Pelotas, La Portuaria, Fernando Otero, Viva Nativa, Ernesto Jodos, Juan ¨Pollo¨ Raffo, Diego Urcola ´s Grammy and Latin Grammy Nominee ¨Soundances¨, Leo Sujatovich ´s Latin Grammy Nominee ¨Tango chamber Trio¨ and ¨Tango Brujo¨ (music for Julio Bocca´s ballet), Sebastian Schon ¨Dos Puntos¨, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, La Mosca, Juan Blas Caballero, G.Senanes, TyC Sports “Futbol de Primera 2007”, Mariano Massolo, Oscar “Chino” Asencio, Los Rancheros, Don Adams, Diego Monk, Jazz RMXS, Bossa and Marley, Bossa and Stones, Liliana Herrero, Mariana Baraj, Silvia Iriondo, Mariano Otero’s Orchestra and Quintet, Mariana Cincunegui, Gustavo Iglesias, Diego “Panza” Castellano, Hana, Coco, among many others. Recorded acoustic shows in a wide range of halls, included the prestigious Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires. Also recorded and mixed 5.1 movies soundtracks, including Leo Sujatovich´s score for ¨Pasos¨, directed by Federico Luppi, “The Aerial” directed by Esteban Sapir featuring Leo Sujatovich’s musical score (winner in Paris of the Prix France Musique – Sacem de la musique de film), De quien es el Portaligas?, directed by Fito Paez, “1978, Un Grito de Corazon” and “The Recipe”, both also with Leo Sujatovich’s musical scores. Pablo has played live with many artists including Alejandro Lerner, Jorge Lopez Ruiz, Nito Mestre, Leonardo Favio among others. He’s also been teaching clasical music, ear training, technology and audio engineering at the Berklee in Buenos Aires for many years. In addition, he composed music for many jingles in Argentina, including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Gatorade, Parmalat, Renault, Cadbury, Nesquik, Halls, etc.

Diego Calviño – Junior Recording, Mixing & Mastering Engineer and Founder of 3:3:2 Studio

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 1, 1982. Studied for 5 years at Berklee College of Music (in Buenos Aires), with recognized professors including Juan ¨Pollo¨ Raffo (Harmony, Arrangements, Composition), Pablo Lopez Ruiz (Classical Music, Technology and audio engineering, Ear Training), Pepi Taveira (drums), Teodoro Cromberg (Counterpoint, Classical Harmony, Music of the XX Century, Orchestration) among others. Got the international degree of professional musician (2003). Also took private lessons for many years with Pablo Lopez Ruiz, deep studying and practising, recording, mixing and mastering technics. Then begun working as Pablo´s assistant on many recording projects including: Chucho Valdes live at the Opera Theatre, Leo Sujatovich´s ¨Tango Ritual¨ and the score for ¨Pasos¨ (directed by Federico Luppi), Silvia Iriondo ¨Ojos Negros¨ and Mariano Otero’s Orchestra. As well as Mixing and Mastering stereo & surround 5.1 projects including: Leo Sujatovich ´s ¨Tango Ritual¨ and ¨Tango Brujo¨ (music for Julio Bocca ´s ballet shows), David Bisbal, Emanuel Ortega, Chucho Valdés live at the Colon Theatre, De quien es el Portaligas? (directed by Fito Paez), Gabriel Senanes, TyC Sports “Futbol de Primera 2007”,  Silvia Iriondo¨Ojos Negros¨, Nicolas Sorin’s scores for the movies “El Perro”, “Historias Minimas”, “El camino de San Diego” and “La Ventana”,  “The Aerial” 5.1 and Stereo Soundtrack featuring Leo Sujatovich’s musical score (winner in Paris of  the Prix France Musique – Sacem de la musique de film), “1978, Un grito de corazon” and “The Recipe”, both also with Leo Sujatovich’s musical scores, Mariano Otero’s Orchestra and Quintet,  Jorge Lopez Ruiz, Mariano Massolo, Liliana Herrero, Los Nocheros, Mariana Baraj, La Mosca, Juan Blas Caballero, Sebastian Schon,  Oscar “Chino” Asencio, Los Rancheros, Diego Monk, Don Adams, Mariana Cincunegui, Primate Electrico, Bultaco Records, Gustavo Iglesias, Diego “Panza” Castellano, Hana, Coco, among many others.
