One Drop Studio has been
catering to clients mainly in the Reggae,
Dancehall and DJ domains since the late 1990s. A physical move and
complete
rebuild of the studio facilities is scheduled for early 2008. The
new studio will focus on a substantial (>50m2, >500
sq. ft) live recording room and a stereo control room which will
ultimately be upgraded to full 5.1 surround sound monitoring.

1999 the Walters Storyk Design Group created two state-of-the-art video
editing suites for Working Pictures. The independent, Avid-based
digital video production, editing and graphic design company was then
located in Albany's Cotton Hill Studios, a complex WSDG originally
designed in 1994. The success of those initial collaborations led to
Working Pictures, a 4,400 sq. ft. facility completed in 2005. Firehouse 12

Crown Street in New Haven, CT, representing a unique combination of
live performance space and professional recording studio. "With 18 ft.
high ceilings and solid construction dating back to 1904, the building
has earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places, and
we immediately recognized its terrific inherent acoustics," John Storyk

their own. Studio B was never completely finished and the group felt
they could be comfortable there. Engineer Chris Dugan was familiar

The Dozier Centre for the Performing Arts, being built by Atlanta developer Don Dozier, will include a 600-seat theater, another smaller theater, three dance studios and recording and rehearsal space when it opens in August. It was designed by Randall-Paulson Architects and Walters-Storyk Design Group.
Alan May's Home Theater

After nearly 50 years of enjoying classical music, four years ago I decided to build as close to a world-class Listening Room/Home Theater as I could accommodate in my existing Dallas hi-rise condominium apartment. It took about a year to select the designers, 15 months to design, and another 15 months to build. There was no budget limitation.

Brooklyn Recording

Construction has recently begun on a new WSDG designed 4,500 sq. ft. two-room recording studio for leading engineer Andy Taub. Located in Brooklyn's peaceful Cobble Hill neighborhood, Brooklyn Recording will cater to a wide range of album-oriented projects. The facility is slated to go online January 2002. Principle designer John Storyk and associate partner, Scott Yates are responsible for the architecture and acoustics of the facility.
Central Synagogue

Devastated by a catastrophic fire in August 1998, the Central Synagogue (Lexington Avenue and Fifty-fifth Street) was reduced to a burned-out shell. Following this disaster, architect Hugh Hardy, recognized for his restorative work on New York City landmarks, was called in to rebuild the treasured synagogue. WSDG played a key role in the facility's rebirth as acoustical / audio-visual consultant.

GAP Digital

GAP Digital, one of the only U.S. recording studios specializing in the production of long-form radio drama, just completed a major renovation of its 3,000 square-foot facility is located in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, adjacent to Wheaton College. WSDG performed all architectural and acoustic design of the renovation.

Ovasen Studios is an audio post production facility located in the lower east side of Manhattan, scheduled to open in March 2006. Ovasen is a very comfortable studio for video production, with a truly superior monitoring environment. Ovasen is owned by Village Mega Playground, which has its own video facilities nearby.
