BUENOS AIRES: Sergio Molho, founding partner of the Walters-Storyk Design Group Latin American office, reports construction has now been completed at the new MTV production facility the group designed in Buenos Aires.

The new complex includes 10 post production rooms for video, a 5.1 audio post suite, two television studios, a master control room, a CMR and a main server room. The requirement WSDG was faced with was to design a facility following strict international standards, to accomplish world class spaces. The two TV studios, located in the heart of the building, were designed following the box-in-a-box system to achieve NC25, giving the client the possibility of having a rock band playing live in Studio A, while having a VJ presenting the charts in Studio B simultaneously, without any interference between both spaces.

The acoustic technology applied was designed by keeping in mind HD transmissions, with the requirements that HD TV needs. The design was coordinated along with the technical department of MTV Networks, in charge of the systems integration for the entire facility.

WSDG was also in charge of the interior design and aesthetic decisions for the complex and great care was put into making this environment up to MTVīs international young, fresh and cutting edge image profile. The facilities will support full production and post production for MTV, Nick and VH1 in Buenos Aires.
