Howard
Sherman has been coordinating media coverage for the Walters-Storyk
Design Group for a very long time. Mix Magazine's 30th Anniversary
salute to WSDG features a b/w photo of John hunched over his drawing
board which Howard shot in 1976. The same article features a color
picture he took of John with Eddie Kramer outside Electric Lady Studios
in 1996! Sherman's 25-year-old + company has represented such clients
as: Sony Pro Audio, Quantel, the AES, B&H Photo, The London
International Advertising Awards, and hundreds of TV commercial
directors, film & video editors, composers, producers,
engineers and recording studios.
Sherman has written thousands of press releases, client profiles, feature articles, captions, birthday cards, shopping and To Do lists, but most of this work remains intentionally anonymous or pseudonymous. Though he began his career as a bylined journalist for Millimeter and other esteemed trade publications, his philosophy has been to keep the spotlight on the client. He does, however, take the occasional photo credit. His pictures have appeared on the pages of such publications as MIX, Film & Video, Pro Sound News, EQ, Billboard, Audio Video Interiors, Advertising Age, Adweek and The NY Daily News.
